9.3 Exchanging files with a PC
To exchange files between your 2-in-1 laptop and another PC, you
need an external storage device (such as an external hard drive or a
USB flash drive).
Direct data exchange between your 2-in-1 laptop and a PC via USB
cable is not possible.
You can directly connect all external storage devices via the USB
interfaces on your 2-in-1 laptop. Choose which interface to use based on
the storage device’s connector (USB Type-C™ or USB 3.0).
i
Notice
If you use one of the USB ports on the keyboard, the 2-in-1 laptop
must be connected to the keyboard. Do not disconnect the 2-in-1
laptop from the keyboard during the data transfer.
Connect as follows:
a)
If necessary, prepare a storage device by connecting it to your PC
and copying the desired files to it.
b) Connect the correspondingly prepared storage device or a
smartphone with the suitable USB port on your 2-in-1 laptop. The
device will be detected by your 2-in-1 laptop after a brief moment.
c)
Open the file browser by tapping or clicking the folder symbol
in the taskbar.
The File Explorer will open.
d) On the left side of the File Explorer, click or tap "This PC". All
available drives and folders are now displayed.
e)
Access the connected device by tapping twice or double-clicking.
All of the files stored on the device are displayed.
f)
Tap the file you want to copy (file or folder) and hold it for
approximately 1 second, then release. The context menu opens.
Select the "Copy" option.
