A.6.4 Installation
NOTE!
Keep the assembly instructions for all components in a safe place.
A.6.4.1 Assembly
To mount the video camera on a VIB-A-T05 tripod with geared head, proceed
as follows:
1. Assemble the tripod as described in the assembly instructions provided by
the manufacturer MANFROTTO.
2. Mount the geared head onto the tripod as described in the assembly
instructions providing by the manufacturer MANFROTTO.
3. Remove the protective caps from the video camera and from the lens.
CAUTION!
Damage to the optical components by unsuitable cleaning agents and supplies !
Video camera and lenses are provided separately. When mounting, do not touch both the
optical surfaces (lenses) and the camera chip ! Only use a soft, dry cloth, an optics brush and
bellows to remove dirt. Scratched optical components getting unusable !
4. Mount the lens on the video camera.
5. Screw the tripod adapter angle provided onto the video camera housing.
To do so, use the four M3 x 8 Allen screws provided as well as a size
2.5 mm Allen key.

6. Remove the quick release plate from the geared head by simultaneously
pressing the safety knob on the bottom side and moving the safety lever
counterclockwise to the end position.
7. Screw the quick release plate onto the tripod adapter angle with the 1/4"
camera screw.
NOTE!
With the aid of the tripod adapter angle you can mount the video camera in different positions
in portrait or landscape.
