At the same time, the unread icon will flash, if you select “YES”,radio will
display the new call content and the unread icon will disappear. If you se
-
lect the “NO” the new call will automatic saved to relevant call log and the
unread icon will flash until user read the new call from call log.
A discrete audible alarm will sound. The radio will not change to any channel
specified in the new call unless the operator manually accepts the new call.
2. If the equipment is engaged on a call and a DSC call is received with a
lower priority than the current call the equipment will display as below:
At the same time a discrete audible alarm will sound and this prompt
information will remain for 5s and the self terminate alarm will sound
continue for 5s.then screen will return to display call content of before. If
the low priority call interrupt the alarm of before call, the previously call’s
alarm will sound continue.
Once the auto procedure (except send DISTR auto procedure) is terminat

ed either by the user or automatic timeout, the equipment will automati

cally display any unread messages in memory, starting with the message
with the highest priority.
5.4 dIsTREss AuTO PROcEduRE
5.4.1 send distress auto procedure (sending a distress call)
Note: Only having a MMSI code of your radio and DSC enable, can you initiate
a DSC transmission? To enter the MMSI code see 6.9.1
1. Open the red cover labelled DISTRESS.
2. Press the DISTRESS key momentarily. The Text area of the display recon

figures to show the Nature of Distress menu
3. If time is available, rotate the CH knob to select the Nature of Distress, the
default are “UNDEFINED”.
4. Hold down the DISTRESS key for more than 3 seconds until you see the
distress call sent message on the screen. The whole display screen to flash
and beep loudly.
5. If DISTRESS key is released before 3 seconds, the initiation of distress call
is terminate and If button is pressed for more than 3 seconds, Distress
call is sent from channel 70 when channel 70 is free, and if channel 70 is
