5.2.6 last call (recall the most recent incoming call)
This facility also is useful and is used frequently as routing individual call
1. Short press the DSC/ Menu key to enter the DSC mode LAST CALL will be
pointed, press CH knob to display the detail information of the last call.
2. Select the working channel for individual call and press CH knob, the ra

dio summarizes the call details and ask for confirmation to send the call
(send?). Press CH knob to send the call other operation as same as the
section 5.2.1.1
5.2.7 send an individual call using the call log
The CALL LOG contains the contact details for the 20 most recent incoming
calls, so you call any of them again quickly
1. Short press the DSC/Menu key to enter the DSC mode, select CALL LOG,
press up/down key to scroll for previous call.
2. Press the CH knob to conform the choice then follow the as the ways to
make the call in 5.2.1.1
5.2.8 send an individual call using the distress log
Total max. 20 distress call data could be stored, the oldest one will be erased.
The feature is similar to CALL LOG function, but select the caller from the Dis
-
tress Log. So you call any of them quickly, according to the normal individual
call procedures to make the call reference 5.2.1.1
5.2.9 Receiving and ack an “Individual” call
When an INDIVIDUAL address ship call is received from other vessels or coast
stations within VHF range of the transmitter, the Radio sounds a Call Alarm
along with a flashing DSC ICON. The alarm ringer tone is different if the call
is a ROUTINE, URGENCY or a SAFETY priority contained in the DSC message.
Routine, Urgency or Safety information is sent to you. Press any key to cancel
the ringing alarm.
The MMSI data contained within the received DSC signal is displayed in the LCD.
If the MMSID matches to a person in your BUDDY LIST, his name is displayed
instead of the MMSID numeric data.
It is expected to response to the sender by send back an “acknowledgement” or
“change the channel” or “unable ACk” to the caller. You can pressing ENT key to
enter the option, an “ACk” and” change channel” and” unable ACk” three item
will appear on the screen, rotate the CH knob to select your desired and press
ENT to send it to sender, if you select change channel before transmitting, you
should select the new channel or if you select the unable ACk, once you send
it, this receiving procedure will auto terminate, and return to standby mode.
Note: INDIV routine call can’t receive and send INDIV routine unable ACk
If INDIV reply set to AUTO. After 10s received INDIV call radio will auto send
ACk and auto switch to sender’s desired channel. Also you can manual re
-
spond sender before 10s.
