Disassemble front end as shown in Figure 4-52. The assembly relationship of the rear of the lens
barrel is shown in Figure 4-56. This disassembly is not normally required. If helicoid assembly is
defective, replace lens barrel. The light baffles are glued in position. Note position and mark light
baffles 1 and 2 before disassembly. Remove rubber grip. Loosen four set screws and Phillips
head screw on focusing ring. Remove four screws holding shutter cover to the helicoid assembly.
Slip off the shutter release ring and the focusing ring. Remove four screws holding helicoid cover
to the helicoid assembly. Remove the three screws holding the depth of field scale ring to the
inner tube. Remove five screws holding the inner tube to the helicoid assembly. Remove two
screws holding the plate to the inner tube.
