7. Operating tips
7.1 WLAN
To connect to your PIKO SmartMeasure Car, the WLAN of your smartphone, tablet, or PC has to be activated. As delivered, the SSID of the
SmartMeasure Car is “PIKO-Messwagen_H0”. You can activate the car’s WLAN by pressing the WLAN button on the car’s keypad. A blue LED
on the keypad stays lit while the car’s WLAN is active. It is not necessary to enter a password. Enter the WLAN menu of your smart device and
select the “PIKO-Messwagen_H0” network and connect. You can now access the SmartMeasure Car on up to 4 devices (smartphone, tablet, PC)
at the same time.
7.2 App Installation
You can find the current version of the SmartMeasure Car app at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.piko.measureCarApp or

The app installs itself as soon as you accept the terms and conditions in the Play Store or App Store. The app can be used immediately if there is
an active WLAN connection to the car.
7.3. Further Information
The PIKO SmartMeasure Car can run for approximately three* hours without recharging the battery.
* if the WLAN is turned off. If it is turned on, the car can run for approximately two hours before recharging
When the SmartMeasure Car is not powered via live track and is not moved, it will turn itself off in about three minutes.
The SmartMeasure Car’s battery can be charged with digital voltage or DC analog voltage*. In DC analog operation it needs around 6 V
(or higher) to start charging.

The SmartMeasure Car can only be connected with a computer by a Micro B* USB data cable. The battery will also be charged when
connected to a USB port.
