5.3.2 WLAN Configuration
„Soft AP“
This menu allows you to change the car’s WLAN network name (SSID) or to assign a password to it.
By default, the PIKO SmartMeasure Car functions as a so-called “Access Point,” which means that up to four Android devices can be directly
connect with it. The name of the car’s SSID is “PIKO-Messwagen_H0” by default. No password is required.
Note: If any Android/smart device was connected to the SmartMeasure Car’s WLAN, and the car’s WLAN
settings are later changed, the device that was previously connected to the car’s WLAN needs to have the new
WLAN password entered into it.
Note: If the ‘Auto’ function is activated, each time the SmartMeasure Car is starts, it selects the WLAN channel
with the least interference from other networks and sets this channel for data transmission. If you deactivate
‘Auto’, you can enter a channel manually, which then becomes the default WLAN channel.
„Station Mode“
The car can connect with a home WLAN network and other Android devices at the same time, which allows it to
transfer data to PIKO Analyst (55051) software and three other devices.
To do this, activate Station Mode and enter the SSID and password of your home WLAN network.
No automatic WPS (pushbutton) connection is available.
Confirm your changed settings with “OK”. The changes are immediately stored in the car.
