An SFP module can be connected to the SYNC interface ( 1 in Figure 4 - 51 ) in order to con -
nect two RFC 4072R controllers via fiber optics and thus create a redundant control system.
The coupled RFC 4072R controllers are synchronized with each other via the SYNC inter -
face.
Various SFP modules are available to cover the different distances between the two
RFC 4072R controllers, which vary according to the application, see Section “Ordering
data” on page 113 .
The IP address of the SYNC interface is assigned according to the redundancy type of the
controller and cannot be changed.
