To use the
Full Fill
function:
■
Open the appropriate configuration table from within the
System4
Configure
menu.
■
Select the first cell within the field you wish to fill. Type in the value you wish to enter or, in the case of an option box column,
click over the check box with the left mouse button to enable or disable the associated function. Only the value in the first cell
will change at this time.
■
With the left mouse button, click on the
Field Title
cell (
Videoloss Enable
for example) located at top of the column. The
entire field (column) will become highlighted with the first cell in the field being boxed (see
System4
Configuration Tables
).
■
Click the right mouse button anywhere in the field's column. A dialog box will appear giving you the option to fill the selected
area with the current cell's value.
■
Click
YES
with the left mouse button or press
ENTER
. All associated field cells will now be filled with the same value, and the
status bar at the bottom of the configuration window will state “
<Field Name> modified successfully
.”
To use the
Partial Fill
function (this function will only work on consecutive cells within a field):
■
With the left mouse button, click on the first cell to be edited.
■
If filling cells with a value which already exists in a cell, go to the next step, otherwise type in the value you wish to enter in this
cell and a number of consecutive cells and press
ENTER
.
■
Click on the cell with the value you wish to fill (a border will appear around this cell). Now,
WITHOUT
releasing the left
mouse button drag the cursor down to the last cell you wish to fill with the first cell's value. The cells to be filled will now be
highlighted and the original cell will have a border.
■
Click anywhere in the highlighted field with the right mouse button. A dialog box will appear giving you the option to fill the
selected field with the current cell value.
