8.4.3 Installation / LNB Configuration
Note: We strongly advise you to keep the Astra 19.2° East satellite in your
installation as LNB1 because your satellite receiver software may only be
upgraded via the Astra 19.2° East satellite. In this way, you can enjoy new
software versions of your receiver can be updated.
Antenna Control = Tone Burst
or
DiSEqC 1.0
If you have selected in the
Antenna Configuration
screen either a
Tone Burst
or a
DiSEqC 1.0
switch, you will get access to the
LNB
Configuration
screen. Highlight the LNB that you want to configure and
then press
OK
to display a list of configuration parameters concerning
the selected LNB. Do the same for any active LNB in your antenna
setup. Please note that each LNB corresponds to one satellite.

Note: For more details about installation of antenna set up including a DiSEqC
switch refer to 5.3.2 section.
Antenna Control = Off
If you have not selected
Tone Burst
/
DiSEqC 1.0
switch in the
Antenna Configuration
screen (you want to watch channels from one
satellite only), selecting the
LNB Configuration
gives you a direct
access to the
LNB Configuration
screen listing any configuration
parameters of the single LNB existing in your antenna setup.
By default, the
LNB Type
option is set to
Universal
. Change this setting
if necessary and type in appropriate frequency (-ies). Consult the User
Manual of your LNB.
Checking Signal Strength/Quality
To check the signal level/quality coming from your antenna, press the
RED
key in the
LNB Configuration
screen. In the
Signal Meter
screen, you can change the characteristics of the transponder that will be
used to test the signal quality from the satellite allocated to a respective
LNB. If the signal strength/quality are good, your antenna is properly
aimed at the respective satellite. If the signal strength/quality is poor,
change the antenna orientation. Once the antenna is properly aimed, do
not forget to fasten it. Now you are ready to initiate the Channel Search
procedure.

Adding/Removing Symbol Rates
To modify symbol rates that will be used during the channel search
procedure, press

. The factory settings of symbol rates include the
most common values encountered on individual satellites.
