Note
Refer to the DreamStation Heated Humidifier user manual for cleaning the humidifier between patient
use.
If you are using the device and O
2
inlet port on multiple users, complete the following steps to clean
between patient use:
1. Turn the device off and disconnect from the power source.
2. Remove the blue pollen filter and light-blue disposable ultra-fine filter (if using).
3. Clean the device and and the O
2
inlet port exterior using a mild liquid dishwashing detergent. Use a mix-
ture of 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) dishwashing detergent/1 gallon (3.8 liters) of water.
4. Allow to air dry.

If you are using the device on multiple users, discard and replace the viral bacteria filter between
patients.
Cautions
Only the hospital and institution cleaning and disinfection procedure listed in this guide is
recommended by Respironics. Use of other cleaning and disinfecting processes, not specified by
Respironics, may affect the performance of the product.
Follow all instructions from the manufacturer of the disinfectant product. Any deviation from
these instructions, the manufacturer’s instructions, or agents not listed in this guide may impact
the performance of the product. Review all applicable instructions for additional warnings and
cautions.

between patient use:
1. Turn the device off and disconnect from the power source.
2. Remove the blue pollen filter and light-blue disposable ultra-fine filter (if using).
3. Clean the outside of the device and O
2
inlet port only. Use a cloth soaked with water and a mild detergent
to clean only the exterior of the device and of the O
2
inlet port.
