WATERPROOF Receiver

Your dog responds to the transmitter’s stimulation through two contact points on the
receiver collar that touch the dog’s neck. Therefore, it is important that the receiver is
fitted properly onto your dog.

The collar will fit a dog with a neck circumference measuring 9 to 22 inches

Fitting the SportHunter 1200 Remote Training Collar

1. Wash both your dog’s neck and the contact points on the receiver collar.
2. Place the activated receiver high on the underside of your dog’s neck.
3. Buckle the collar snugly on your dog, allowing enough room so that you can

comfortably place one finger between the collar and your dog’s skin.

Caution: Do not leave collar on too tight. Doing so can cause Pressure Necrosis, a condition that
results in skin deterioration. Check your pet’s collar regularly. Remove the collar weekly
and wash your dog’s neck and probes with mild soap (approved by a veterinarian). If a rash or
sores form, take the collar off for a few days. When replacing it, make sure that it’s not too tight.

BATTERIES FOR THE SR-200I RECEIVER

• The rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery is not memory sensitive
and does not require depletion before charging.
• The battery comes partially charged from the factory, but will require a full charge
(24 hours) before the first use.
• Remember - Always keep batteries away from flame.
• When storing the unit for long periods, remember to regularly give the battery a full
charge (12 hours). This should be done once every 4 to 6 weeks.
• Excessive overcharging can shorten battery life. After inital charge never leave the
battery plugged in for more than 12 hours.
• If your equipment has not been charged for an extended period, you may experience
a decrease in battery life the first few uses. Afterwards, the battery life will return to
  previous capacity levels.
• You should expect hundreds of recharge cycles from your battery. However, all
rechargeable batteries lose capacity over time relative to the number of recharge
cycles they experience.  This is normal. If your operating time drops to half of the
original life, contact the Customer Care Center to purchase a new one.

REPLACING THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES IN THE SR-200I RECEIVER

The SR-200I Receiver battery pack should last for a period of 3-5 years.  When the

battery pack needs replacement, you can order a new pack by calling our Customer
Care Center at 1-800-732-0144.  Please do not open the receiver until you have

received the replacement.
