Serial plus Ethernet Traffic
Web browser configuration
From the main menu in the 3086, select
GSHDSL > Configuration
. Enter the selections as shown in the
screen below. For
Terminal Type
, select
Central
for 3086 A, and
Remote
for 3086 B. Then go to the bottom of
the screen and click on the
Configure
button.
Serial plus Ethernet Traffic
The Model 3086 IAD can concurrently carry TDM data from the serial port (non-routed) and data from the
Ethernet port, both data streams are carried simultaneously over the DSL link.
Note
The serial port data does not go through the routing core of the
model 3086, this data is sent unprocessed over the DSL link.
CLI configuration
Configuring the 3086 to transport Serial and IP data concurrently requires use of a Laptop or PC terminal.
