After assembly:
-
switch on the non-contact arc-ignition device (oscillator);
-
set the device's main power switch 12 on the rear panel to the "ON" position;
-
use button 4 to set the TIG welding mode (functions are switched over and over);
-
set the function of the TIG-2T torch button. To do this, hold down button 3 until
"Torch button" [But] appears on the indicator; the current position of this function
will also be displayed next to it. Use the 2 buttons to set "2T". If you do not perform
any action for a long time, the device will exit this mode. You can return in the same
way, and if you have missed the desired button mode, press button 3 again: the
functions are switched over and over again;
-
using the 2 buttons, the current main parameter, i.e. the welding current, can be
set;
If necessary, additional welding process functions can be set (see Section 6.1 for the switching sequence).
ATTENTION!
The TIG torch must be of the push-
button type, with bayonet connector Ø13
mm. The maximum torch current must be selected according to the operational
requirements.
4.1.4 BUTTON FUNCTION ON THE TIG-2T TORCH
This control button function is only used if there is an external, independent non-contact arc
ignition unit (oscillator), with a built-in gas valve. The burner button cable connects directly
to the oscillator unit. When the button on the torch is pressed, a control signal is sent to the
oscillator unit, which activates the pre-cleaning function of the welding zone with gas t1
(opens the gas valve) and, with a delay, transmits the signal for the unit to enter standby
mode. At the same time, it sends a high-frequency high-voltage pulse to ignite the arc. The
power source triggers all other functions (described in the following sections) according to
the welding process cycle. When the button is released, the source starts its functions and at
the end automatically switches off. The oscillator unit must perform the final purge function
of the welding zone with gas t2 (closes the gas valve with a delay).
