 REGULAR INSPECTION AND DAILY MAINTENANCE

<Maintenance and inspection items to be completed by authorized serviceperson>

Whenever the specified inspection period comes near, request to have an authorized serviceperson stop by 

to inspect and maintain the equipment.
Inspection frequency (period): Once a year

Inspection of sliding parts, fasteners, casters, and other similar parts

NOTE!

Stretcher unit

z

To remove dirt from parts (Bed unit)

Complete steps (1) to (3) listed below. 

(1) Wipe off parts using a soft cloth soaked in a neutral cleaning solution lightly diluted with water 

that has been wrung out to remove excess fluid. 

(2) Ring out as much moisture from the cloth as possible and then wipe up any remaining 

cleaning solution residue. 

(3) Use a dry cloth to thoroughly wipe away any leftover moisture.

To disinfect parts

Use one of the disinfectants listed below at the specified concentration, making sure to follow the 

instructions in the manuals or other materials available for the selected disinfectant.
76.9% - 81.4%  Ethanol for disinfection
Up to 0.2% 

Benzalkonium chloride (e.g. Osvan)

Up to 0.2% 

Benzethonium chloride (e.g. Hiamine)

Up to 0.05% 

Chlorhexidine gluconate (e.g. Hibitane)

Up to 0.05% 

Sodium hypochlorite (e.g. Milton)

* It is highly recommended that you thoroughly disinfect the stretcher between people using the stretcher.

Do not use volatile cleaning 

fluids (such as paint thinner, 

benzene or gasoline) and 
cresol. Discoloration or 
deterioration could result.

Do not use disinfectants or 

other fluids other than those listed above with the stretcher. 

Discoloration or deterioration could result.

Thoroughly dry off parts after using a neutral cleaning 

solution. Failure to do so could cause resin parts to crack.

NOTE!

The stretcher cannot be used with an ozone sterilizer, an autoclave, etc.

Transfer mattress

z

z

Wipe off dirt on the mattress with a cloth dampened with warm water and then leave to dry in 

the shade with good ventilation. If dirt does not come off, wipe with a cloth that has been soaked 

in neutral detergent diluted with water and wring it out thoroughly. Then, wipe off any residual 

detergent with a wet cloth that has been squeezed well and let the mattress dry in a shady place 
with good ventilation.

The surface material of the transfer mattress is washable (see p. 21).

NOTE!

z

z

The mattress should not be cleaned by an ozone sterilizer or autoclave apparatus.

To clean the transfer mattress, take out the padding and wash the surface material 
only.
