Roll the patient over to the opposite side of the
stretcher.

Fold the side part of the transfer mattress on the
down side.

Insert the transfer mattress under the patient’s
back as deeply as possible.

When transferring a patient using
the transfer mattress, place the
patient’s hands together on their
abdomen in order to prevent their
hands from getting caught by a
handle of the transfer mattress or
other parts. There is a risk of injury
caused by falling over.

Lay the patient in the center of the transfer mattress
on their back, place their hands together on their
abdomen, and pull out the side part of the transfer
mattress that was folded in step
4
. Grab handles of
the transfer mattress (handles on the stretcher side)
and pull the mattress to the center of the stretcher
carefully.

If the base and transfer mattress do not
align, grab the handles as shown in the
figure to the left and adjust the position
of the mattress using the mattress
stopper on the leg section base as a
guide.
