 REGULAR INSPECTION AND DAILY MAINTENANCE

For safety in use, inspect the product regularly, at least once a year. The product exhibits wear and deterioration according 
to the frequency and conditions of use. Regularly inspect for parts looseness, the operation of moving parts, and the 
presence of damage. If you notice an irregularity or want a detailed inspection, contact Paramount Bed or your distributor 
(see “Contact Information” on p. 30). If abnormal noise occurs during use, apply a lubricant (see the following illustration).

Keep the stretcher and mattress away from water and humidity because they may cause rust, 

breeding of bacteria, and generation of abnormal noise. If water gets on them, immediately wipe it off.

  Main Unit

• The position operations using the height adjusting handle or back-raising lever are to be working properly.
• 

There are not to be any abnormal sounds produced or significant rattling when positioning operations are performed.

• There is not to be any deformation, damage, or detachment of bumpers or resin parts.
• There must not be any peeling of labels, and the text must be legible.
• There are not to be any scratches on or deformation of the mattress base, frame, or any other parts.

  Transfer Board

• 

The safety lock is to be locked properly and firmly.

• 

There is not to be any significant rattling present.

 Casters

• There are not to be any abnormal sounds produced while the bed is being moved.
• There is not to be any abnormal vibration occurring while the bed is being moved.
• Operations are to run properly.
• Operations to lock/release the casters are to run properly.
• Operation controls are to run smoothly without any abnormal resistance.
• The bed is not to move while the casters are in the locked position.
• The bed is to move smoothly while the lock is in the released position.
