Introduction
The command line interface (CLI) is often more convenient to use than the
menu interface. Many of the tasks you normally perform using the menu
interface are also available in the command line interface.
To enter CLI mode, type
“C”
on the Main menu (Figure 2.2). The IAD enters
command mode and allows you to enter IAD commands (described below)
until you type the
exit
or
quit
command to return to the menu interface.
CLI Help
Display a list of all commands in the CLI by typing
help
at the prompt. To
display the parameters for a specific command, type command, followed by a
question mark (?). For example,
set wan ip address?
.
Command Line Syntax
The CLI supports the following syntax:
command <required parameters> (optional parameters)
For example:
set wan ip address 192.3.4.5 255.255.255.0 2 0 0 1
The required parameters are IP address <192.3.4.5> and netmask
<255.255.255.0>. The optional parameters are the slot (2), interface (0), port
(0) and connection (1).
The command and its parameters are NOT case sensitive.
Each command in the command line interface is described in alphabetical
order below.
exit
Quits the command line interface and returns to the menu system.
exit
