3 Operation of Stand-Alone Unit
Interpreting Binary Coded Decimal (BCD) values
The voltages and currents within the SSPA are interpreted as floating point values.
However, to transmit these values, they are encoded in BCD format. Each value is
encoded into 2 bytes where each four bits will have a value in the range of [ 0..9 ].
Figure 3-8 shows how the data is transmitted and Table 3-23 is used to interpret the
data.
