CHAPTER 6 RS-232C CONTROL
6-36
8. Data reading
• After checking the final data point, start reading data to the final data point with the
reading start and end points designated.
• The number of data points read in 1 operation is 200 (maximum). To read data exceeding
200, repeat reading.
• Reading is executable in 1 of 2 ways below.
1) Normal reading: Reads accumulated data as is.
2) High-speed reading: Reads data by the difference from the last data.
Since data for this difference decreases with decreasing variation, the total number of
data points transferred decreases, shortening communication time.

Example
When data of "+12.3456, +12.3462, +12.3458, +12.3460, +12.4875, +11.5475,
+5.5525, +5.5531 ..." is accumulated from point 201 to point 400 of Sensor Head 1
(1) When normal reading is used for data reading (shown with BCC omitted).
(2) When high-speed reading is used for data reading (shown with BCC omitted).

Supplementary Explanation
• When fetching other measurement data in succession under the same setting condition,
return to step 4 and repeat operation.
• For an intelligent "AiM" monitor, storage data may be opened directly using spreadsheet
software because data is saved to the PC in CSV format.
• If the trigger condition is matched before data is accumulated to the trigger point for initial
trigger mode and updated trigger mode, the value of +999.9999 is inserted at insufficient
data (from the head point of memory to the point at which accumulation is started), so it
can be distinguished from accumulation data.
