5-2-12 Interference Prevention
This function prevents interference between 2 laser spots (see page 2-8), e.g. when
measuring the thickness of a translucent substance or 2 sensor heads are connected very
close together. Since measurement is done with 2 sensor heads emitting the
laser beam alternately when the interference prevention function is turned on,
data is updated 4 times in a setting sampling period.
1. Display the interference prevention/LD delay
screen.
Touch
on the MENU Screen to
display the measurement setting screen, and then
touch
to display the
interference prevention/LD delay screen and
display the "Interference Prevention" key.
2. Turn on the display, using the "Interference
Prevention" key.
When the display is turned on, the interference
prevention function is enabled. It is turned on/off
each time the key is touched.
3. The screen returns to the MENU screen when
is touched and to the Measurement
Setting screen when
is touched.
Touch
to return the screen to the MENU
screen or
to change to the measurement setting
screen.

Supplementary Explanation
• Do not set the "Interference Prevention" key to on when operation is done with 1 sensor
head connected. Otherwise, instrument operation may fail.
• Note that executing "Save" with the "Interference Prevention" key on may increase
start-up time 1.4 to 3.3 times compared to when the "Interference Prevention" key is off.
• Do not use "Test" for output mode (see page 5-28) with the "Interference Prevention" key
turned on because operation will be incorrect.
