.
Though it takes a little time to change the mode between monochrome and color print modes, this
setting enables to reduce consumable usage and costs since monochrome pages are printed in
monochrome mode using only the black toner and print cartridge.
This setting is effective when you mainly print documents that contain monochrome only pages.
• Off
Prints all documents in color mode if color mode is selected in the printer driver.
Monochrome pages of your documents are printed in color mode.
This setting enables to decrease the print time when printing a color document because it is not
necessary for the printer to change the mode between monochrome and color print modes.
However, when the document contains monochrome pages, consumable usage and costs will
become higher than when the setting Mono Page Detect setting is set to On.
This setting is effective when you mainly print color documents where all pages contain color.
NOTE:
• When Grayscale is selected in the printer driver, only the black toner and print cartridge are used to
print even if this setting is On or Off regardless of the Mono Page Detect setting.
