• Use caution when operating the device: pressing your hand with the heater, even when
the heater is cold, can cause injury.
• Keep the device out of reach of children and animals.
• Do not use solvents for cleaning the device.
• Repairs may only be carried out by a qualified person.
NOTE: During stamping operation the lever may recoil with great force! Always hold the
lever (from above) until stamping is finished!
• The device is not intended for use by people (including children) with limited physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, with lack of experience and knowledge, unless under
the supervision of a person responsible for their safety and in accordance with the user
manual.
• The device may be operated at a level of up to 2000 metres above the sea level.
• The lever should be held from above as shown in the drawing below.
2 GENERAL
The MasterPress 02 gilding press is used to perform gilding / stampings, mainly on paper
and cardboard covers, as well as those covered with paper covering mats.
Using non-standard materials is possible, but requires individual selection of operating
parameters and gilding foil. After placing OPUS-fabricated matrixes (logos, drawings,
symbols) or types (any text) on the heater, you can make gilding / stamping on both the
covers and the channels (in the latter case O.Goldchannel Base MP 02 must be used).
With special cutting dies and pad, the device may serve as a punching press.
Contact your supplier to learn the details of expanding the application range of your
device.
Operation of the machine does not require special qualifications, however the operator
should read this manual carefully before starting work.
