If the lever is not raised within 2 seconds, a “lift lever up” message is displayed
(across the whole display).
Note
If the lever is lowered too fast before the matrix attains the ready position (three
beeps), gilding will not be effected or it will be done improperly.
NOTE: During stamping operation the lever may recoil with great force! Always hold
the lever (from above) until stamping is finished!
11. After the matrix is raised, the foil is wound by the set distance.
12. Remove the cover (it may be necessary to gently separate the foil from the cover).
In order to change the text, remove the frame (attention: it may be hot), put it in
the holder, let it cool down for a few minutes, and compose the new text.
Note
Recommended settings for gilding:
Temperature: 100°C
Set time: 1 second
Power: 10
These settings, in most cases, warrant proper gilding effect. As optimum settings
depend on the type of foil and material surface, it may be necessary to adjust the
settings.
If the dye does not adhere properly to the stamped surface, increase the
temperature, power or stamping time, if the dye “bleeds” on the edges, decrease the
settings.
Adjust the power first, then the time, and finally the temperature.
Sliding the table out
Changing the cover may be facilitated by sliding the table out. To do this pull the
handle and slide the table out. After proper positioning of the cover, slide the table
back.
Tabletop plane adjustment
When complex patterns are stamped, and the resulting pattern is irregular, the
elevation of the table support points should be adjusted by means of adjusting
screws.
Where the pattern is less distinct, the tabletop should be raised, resulting in
increased matrix pressure.
Where the pattern is too deep, the tabletop should be lowered. The adjusting screws
are under the table. Turning them clockwise raises the tabletop, turning them
anticlockwise lowers the tabletop. Turning the adjusting screw by 60° (you will sense
a screw “jump”) raises or lowers the tabletop in the screw area by about 0.3 mm.
