10 TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
PROBLEM
CORRETIVE ACTION
THE DEVICE DOES NOT SWITCH ON.
Inspect the power cords.
Move the rear switch to position ON.
THE OPERATING SYSTEM DOES NOT START
(THE WINDOWS SCREEN DOES NOT
DISPLAY)
The hard disk is damaged or the start-up
files are corrupt. Reinstall the operating
system.
"WINDOWS" STARTS NORMALLY BUT THE
ECHOGRAPH SCREEN DOES NOT DISPLAY
Manually run program:
C:\HiScan\BSCANSDI.EXE
If the problem is solved, perform an
automatic reboot from program
BSCANSDI.EXE (start-up menu).
WHEN PERFORMING A MANUAL BOOT,
PROGRAM BSCANSDI.EXE DOES NOT
START AND AN ERROR MESSAGE DISPLAYS
Verify that the drivers have been
correctly installed: a copy of the
drivers is available on the CD-ROM
supplied with the echograph.
THE ECHOGRAPH SCREEN DISPLAYS BUT
THE LOWER RIGHT CORNER CONTINUES TO
DISPLAY IN RED (FAILED SELF-TEST) AND
THE DEVICE DOES NOT START
See paragraph 8.1.
THE SELF-TEST ENDS SUCCESSFULLY (THE
LOWER RIGHT CORNER OF THE SCREEN
DISPLAYS IN GREEN) BUT THE DEVICE IS
NOT ABLE TO DETECT THE INSERTED
PROBE
Try replacing the problem (damaged
probe).
Replace the probe cable (damaged
probe cable).
The device is not working correctly
(contact the technical support).
THE SELF-TEST IS SUCCESSFUL, THE
PROBE IS DETECTED, BUT THE DEVICE
DOES NOT RUN (REMAINS IN FROZEN
MODE) EVEN WHEN THE MENU IN THE
UPPER LEFT SECTION OF THE DISPLAY IS
USED
Try replacing the problem (damaged
probe).
Replace the probe cable.
Contact the technical support.
