Qualify Bypass.
By default, a switching to bypass mode is only then
permitted if the bypass is within the following specifications:
The bypass voltage lies between the set "Lower bypass volt-
age threshold value" and the "Upper bypass voltage threshold
value"
The bypass frequency lies within the nominal frequency with
a deviation of max. ±5Hz
The inverter is synchronised with the bypass if the setting
"Unsynchronised Transfers" setting is disabled
You can prevent the bypass ("Never") or always allow ("Always")
without the specifications are being checked. In the "Always on UPS
Fault", a switch into bypass mode always occurs for a fault of the
UPS system. Otherwise, the mode corresponding to the standard
operating mode setting is selected.
Synchronisation window:
The UPS system attempts to synchro-
nise itself with the bypass if the bypass frequency lies below the val-
ue specified for the "Synchronization Window" setting. If the bypass
frequency lies above the set value, the UPS system switches to the
normal frequency. The synchronisation window in bypass mode
amounts to ±5Hz. If the synchronisation is disabled ("Sync Disabled"),
the UPS system will only synchronise in bypass mode.
Unsynchronised transfers.
The standard setting permits and
unsynchronised switch to the bypass mode. You can configure the
settings so that these types of mode changes are not allowed.
This setting can be disabled by the "Qualify Bypass" setting.
4.7 Configuring load segments
Load segments are groups of output power outlets of the UPS sys-
tem which can be controlled by the DataWatch software or via the
display and facilitate a physical shut down and starting of the load.
For example, you can allow important devices of the system to re-
main in operation during a power failure while others are shut down.
You can save battery current using this function.
