STREAMING MENU
♦
The
Title
field allows you to enter the stream title displayed to listeners and on public listings, such as
shoutcast.com.
♦
The
Enable
control enables or disables the stream. When enabled, the encoder will continually try to
connect to the specified server.
♦
The
Channel Mode
menu provides a choice between Mono and Stereo.
♦
The
Sample Rate
menu will either maintain Omnia.9’s sample rate of 44.1kHz or 48kHz (depending on
the sample rate setting)in the encoder, or result in a high-quality re-sample to 8, 11.025, 16, 22.05, 24,
32, or 44.1kHz.
♦
The
Quality Mode
menu allows you to choose from a range of settings between VBR -2 and VBR 9. The
Vorbis codec is by nature a variable bit rate encoder, but for reference, we have included an approximate
average bit rate for quality modes lower than VBR 4.
♦
The
Gain
control determines the final output level into the encoder.
