CHAPTER 5
MAINTENANCE
5.1 GENERAL INFORMATION ON MAINTANANCE
The procedures recommended in this chapter should be considered the minimum indispensable for
proper maintenance of the machine over time operating at its most efficient level. Other procedures
may be suggested by user experience taking into account the daily workload, the environment in
which the machine is run, the characteristics of the product to be wrapped, etc.. The frequency
indicated for each operation allows the maintenance planning. The main needs of the user can be
determined only after a continuous maintenance service and its critical analysis.
The machine does not require particular maintenance. The technicians assigned to its
maintenance shall:
-
be properly trained;
-
possess sufficient mechanical and electrical knowledge to carry out the work required;
-
be aware of health and safety standards;
-
be provided with the necessary personal protective equipment and know how to use it properly.
It is suggested that a sign be placed in a clearly visible position near the machine
reading, "MACHINE IN MAINTENANCE".
It is absolutely forbidden to run the machine in automatic mode with the fixed or mobile
guards disassembled.
