a passcode (
“Wake Up Passcode”
) to unlock the phone when the phone wakes up, by enabling
“Require passcode
on Wake Up”.
There are primarily two types of screen savers: slide show and display off. With slide show, one can choose to use all
pictures stored on the phone, or to involve user uploaded pictures only (copied from a USB flash drive using the
Storage app). Instead of locally stored pictures, one can also use pictures in the cloud (specified by a URL) for the
slide show. The URL (parameter <ScreenSaverPictureURL>) can only be configured via the Web interface of the
phone.
Regardless of the screen saver type, when the screen saver activates one can additionally impose an overlay
graphics containing the running time and date
, by enabling “Screen Saver Show Custom Contents”
:

By default the “custom content” consists of the current time and date. This can be customized via the Web interface
using the <ScreenSaverCustomContents> parameter under
“IP Phone / Screen Item Customization”
.
Two other parameters relating to screen saver that can be configured via the Web interface
under “User Settings /
User Preferences”
are <SlideShowInterval> for controlling the pace of the slide show, and <LockIncomingCall> which
controls whether passcode is needed or not to answer an incoming call when screen save is active and the phone is
locked (with “Require Passcode On Wake Up”).
