Performing a Single Level (Breakaway) Switch (X-Y Mode)
To perform a breakaway switch on only one level of a destination:
1. Ensure the [X-Y/Mult] button is in X-Y mode (green).
2. Select a destination device:
a. Press [Dest]. All buttons associated with destination light in low intensity
amber. The current destination appears in the Column 1, the status of that
destination appears in the Status (third) column, and the levels in the
destination level set appear in the Lev/Dest (fourth) column.
b. Press [(category)] (e.g., VTR). VTR appears in the middle of Column 1. Preset
and Status column display dashes. (If [Clear] is pressed now, the display
returns to the last selected destination.)
c. Press [(number)]. The selected destination device appears in Column 1. Level
selections and presets which apply to the new destination remain and the
[Lock], [Prot], [Hold], and [Save Prst] buttons, as applicable to remaining
levels and presets are unaffected. The Status column will update accordingly.
3. If all levels had been previously selected, use [1] - [8] below the display to select
the desired level. All levels except the currently selected level will be deselected.
If all levels had not been previously selected, press [Clear Prst] and then use [1] -
[8] below the display to select the desired level.
4. Preset a source device:
a. Press [Src]. All buttons appropriate for source selection go On in low intensity
green.
b. Press [(category)] (e.g., VTR). VTR appears in the middle of Column 1 on the
display.
c. Press [(number)]. The selected number for the device appears in Column 1.
The preset source will be displayed in Column 2 on the line of the selected
levels.
5. Press [Take]. The single level switch occurs and the panel returns to the previous
display with appropriate Holds, Save Presets, Locks, and Protects intact.
