Introduction
The DigiGuard PCI is capable of monitoring and recording 4 video sources simultaneously.
With the DigiGuard PCI installed in your computer which in turn has a modem installed,
you can now experience remote the video monitoring capability by dialing in from another
computer as illustrated in the diagram below. This task can be performed from anywhere
around the world.
The DigiGuard PCI is supplied with 2 separate software packages, the Server and the
Client. The Server is installed in the computer where you have the DigiGuard PCI and the
cameras installed. Since the Client portion of the software does NOT require any
DigiGuard PCI hardware, it can be installed onto any computer (with Windows 95 OR 98
running) at any location. The Client software can be installed onto more than one computer
so that you can monitor the same Server from many different geographic locations. Each
computer should have a modem installed. Note that once the video signal is converted by
the DigiGuard PCI to it's digital form, you can monitor the video signal from anywhere in
the world without knowing whether the Video system connected to the DigiGuard is NTSC,
PAL or SECAM standard.
