Generator Reverse Power: If the PLC detects a generator reverse power current in
excess of the pre-set trip, a shutdown is initiated. The LCD will indicate ‘Reverse
Power’ and the Alarm LED will flash.
Generator Over Current: If the PLC detects a generator output current in excess of
the pre-set trip, a shutdown is initiated. The LCD will indicate ‘Over current 1’ and
the Alarm LED will flash.
Generator Short Circuit: If the PLC detects a generator fault current in excess of the
pre-set trip, a shutdown is initiated. The LCD will indicate ‘Over current 2’ and the
Alarm LED will flash.
5.10 Lifting and Transporting
Lifting: The top of the generator has a central lifting
lug attached to a lifting frame inside the housing.
Refer to the Technical Data for the weight of the
generator. Ensure the lifting devices have sufficient
capacity to lift the unit safely. When lifting the
generator, attach a hook or sling securely to the lifting
lug.
Transporting: When transporting the generator, it should
be safely secured with ropes tied to the roping lugs at
the top of the generator.
5.11 Overnight Storage
When storing the generator overnight, make sure all access doors are closed and
padlocked.
Caution:
Do not store the generator in a low lying area, as large quantities of water can enter the
generators electrical / mechanical systems and damage may result.
5.12 Long-term Storage
If the generator will not be used for more than two months, the following procedures need to
be performed.
Close and padlock all access doors. Remove the start key.
Avoid storing generator in a dusty, humid environment.
Refer to and follow the engine manufacturer’s recommendations for long-term storage.
These procedures are designed to help minimize engine corrosion.
