Configuration
LAN - Local Area Network
This feature allows the MX 500 to communicate with another MX 500
via LAN interface (RJ45). This data link is used by the MX 500 for dual
control, integrity monitoring, and multiple control applications.
To activate
LAN
, press the
EDIT
key and select the
Change
softkey to
change
LAN Enabled
to
Yes
. Use the
Change
softkey to modify the
options described below:
Type
- select between
Host
or
Client
. In a dual or multiple unit control
system, the Master will be the Host and the Slave(s) will be the
Client(s).
Number
- this option is only available when
Type
is
Client
. The avail-
able values are
1, 2, 3, or 4
(which determines the IP address of the
CDU). Each
Client
has to be assigned with a unique number (1, 2,
3, or 4). Any two or more
Clients
with the same number will create
an IP address conflict, and therefore, will activate an IP Conflict
Alarm. Please refer to the table below for the MX 500 IP Address.
When the connection is successful, the
Status
will display
ESTAB-
LISHED
.
