CAUTION
The restore function will overwrite the existing HMS 400
databases and configuration files. It is recommended to rerun
the last PEP installed after system restoration.
5. To start the restore process, click Restore Now .
6. When the progress bar reaches the end, a Restore Completed dialogue box will appear
indicating the completion of the restore process as well as the destination path of the restored
data.
7. If system was not configured to auto-backup, then it is recommended to install the latest PEP
after restore is completed. Refer to Chapter 6 of this document.
8. Re-start the HMS 400 system, refer to Page 103 (Point 2) of the “HMS 400 Installation Guide
(NN42350-301)”
Backup and Restore Logs
The logs for the backup and restore transactions are located in C:\HM\Backup
Restoring the System from Image Disk
This section describes the steps to restore the HMS 400 from an image CD in the event of hard
disk failure.
Procedures to restore from an Image Disk are as below:
1. Remove the dongle from the USB port.
2. Ensure that the Dialogic card(s) are in the server and the lines are connected to the breakout
box.
3. Place Recovery CD-1 into the CD-Rom drive.
4. Exit HMS 400 system and reboot the server.
5. The following screens reflect the recovery process from the Image Disk. Follow the steps
accordingly for each screen.
