System Logs
The log files for all the trace screens can be obtained from path C:\HM\log as well as
C:\HM\PMSI\Log. They are all text files so Windows will use Notepad to open them by default.
These files are automatically created everyday and even if they are deleted, a reboot of the
HMS400 will recreate them anew.
The relevant logs (depending on the nature of the problem) should always be downloaded when
doing remote support for troubleshooting purposes. For example, in an AWU-related problem, the
logs required would include all Atlas channel logs, Atlas, AtlasAWU, AWU, AWUPrint, DBEngine,
and ErrorDBEngine (if it is there). If unsure of the problem download every log for the day/s the
problem was reported. Alternatively, the Administrator can copy and send them to technical
support engineers via e-mail.
The list of log files and their respective descriptions are stated in the table below:
