Procedure
To rotate the target, follow these steps:
1. Engage the pins on the tool (included in the spares kit) in the top of the target.
2. Rotate the target.
The direction and approximate amount to rotate the target are marked on the top of the
tool. Generally, 2 - 3 notches will be sufficient.
Power up the X-ray source
Once the filament has been changed and the target rotated (optional), you can power the
X-ray source and run the filament calibration routine.
To power the X-ray source, follow these steps:
1. Turn the X-ray power button 'ON'.
The vacuum must re-establish before the system can produce X-rays.
Do not close the operator door. Listen to the turbo pump speeding up;
it takes a few minutes to get up to speed.
2. Insert the INTERLOCK key and turn it to the 'ON' position.
