5.  Turn the focus cup upside down into your hand to remove the focus cup insert. 

 

You now have access to the hairpin filament in the middle of the focus cup. The filament 
is firmly plugged into the filament holder. Replacing the filament does not require the 
filament holder to be removed.   

 

6.  Using bent nose pliers, grab the two filament pins at once and pull the filament out from 

the holder straight and firmly.
