Note:

For positions at which no objective is currently installed, set the same focus position as for the immediately
preceding objective.
If this focus position setting is not carried out when parfocal correction mode is in Auto Link Focus (ALF), parfocal
correction will not be performed when switching from a position without an objective to a position with an objective.

(2) Setting Parfocal Correction Mode

Set parfocal correction mode to one of the following three settings: OFF, Absolute Value (ABS), or Auto Link
Focus (ALF).

・

OFF

Parfocal correction is disabled. (default setting)

・

Absolute

Value

(ABS)

The focusing mechanism moves to the preset focus position.

・

Auto Link Focus (ALF)

Even if a change in specimens or observation positions causes a focal deviation, adjusting the focus with any
selected objective maintains approximately correct focus on the specimen when switching objectives. The ALF
setting offers added convenience when operating the microscope manually.
