Note:
If the revolving nosepiece is not connected, the objective information will not be indicated on the LCD and the LED
of OBJECTIVE key will not light up.
When using the TE2000-E and T-ND6-E sextuple motorized DIC nosepiece, enter the Esc. setting to perform the
automatic escape and refocus of the objective. Pressing the OBJECTIVE key automatically lowers the objective to
the ESCAPE position (2 mm below the standard position), switches the objective, then raises and returns it to its
original position.
This function is useful when the objective must be lowered before switching magnification due to the narrow
separation of the objective and stage resulting from a thick container bottom plate.
If the ESCAPE switch located in front of the right focus knob on the main unit is pressed and the objective is at the
ESCAPE position when the objective is switched, only objective switching is performed, regardless of the Esc.
setting. The objective returns to the original focus position when the REFOCUS switch in front of the right focus
knob on the main unit is pressed.
For information on these settings, refer to "(1) Objective" in "Chapter 1: Preparations, 2. Setting Attachment
Information.
