● As shown in Fig. 1, if the amplitude of only either C�1 or C�2 is small, one of the 2 screws (#541) may
be loosened, so check for it. If this is not the case, the MR head may malfunction, so replace the GMR unit
and make a readjustment.

As shown in Fig. 2, if the amplitude partially drops between the infinity and the close-distance, the
magnetic data of the tape may be damaged. So replace the MR ring unit and make a readjustment.
Replacing only the magnetic surface is impossible.
