General norms
Maintenance must be carried out by specialized technicians who have been trained in the

Electrical maintenance
The professionalism and competence of the technician, lies with the person responsible for
safety.
Before starting maintenance intervention the person in charge of safety must:
Vacate the work area of those not involved.
Make sure that the necessary instruments are at hand and in good condition.
Verify that there is sufficient light, otherwise provide portable 24 volt lights.
Make sure the authorized personnel are equipped with the safety regulation
clothes (protective gloves, goggles etc).
Verify that the maintenance technician has carefully read the instruction manual
and understands the function of the machine.
Before starting the technician must disconnect all supplies (electrical and pneumatic) and
ensure the security block on the machine is in function.
Warning! If it is absolutely necessary to work on the machine during the
maintenance, the service engineer must keep at a safe distance and the safety blocking
switch must be close at hand.
After the intervention and before restarting the service engineer must check the security
system and the complete performance.
Work on the electrical motors must be executed ONLY by the service engineers who have
been trained by either the producer or the distributor of the machine.
Warning! After every service the engineer is responsible for the complete
check and safety of the machine and the protective operative system
Maximum dependability of the machine at a minimal cost is the result of a maintenance
program and a careful inspection during the life of the machine
Warning! Before starting any maintenance or cleaning service the machines
energy sources must be shut down, meaning the disconnecting switch and the
