Especially the water faucet , the injection nozzles inside the cell and the solenoid valves EV0
and EV1 .
Check the state of wear of the short temperature sensor which commands the PLC.
If after these controls the material is discharged at a temperature above 100°C contact
technical assistance.
Attention ! Keep in mind that material that is too hot involves high risks of
spontaneous combustion even several hours after being discharged and bagged.
5.4.
Strange noise of metal banging inside the cell
The machine is not designed to treat large pieces of metal.
If there are hard, compact metal parts with a weight of over 50 grams, the machine will
produce a strange noise caused by the banging of metal pieces against the rotor and the
sides of the cell.
In these cases, to reduce as much as possible, the possibility of damaging the rotating and
fixed blades , it is necessary to slow down the speed of the rotor ending the cycle in "Manual"
mode in low speed.
To do so it is necessary to shut down and restart the cycle in "Manual" mode at low speeds.
Complete the treatment by performing all operations (heating, cooling, exhaust) as described
in section 3.6, but do not go into high speed. Of course, the duration of the cycle will be
longer . At the end of processing open the cell and ensure that there are no more metal
masses on the bottom of the cell.
5.5.
The machine heats up less than usual
Note that if the cell has been filled and the rotor turns, it is impossible that the machine does
not roduce heat.
If the temperature remains practically constant and it seems that the warming is weak , check
the status of the temperature sensor and of the blades; if the blades are very worn their
warming effect is greatly reduced .
It is also possible that the blades are a little worn but the material is packed in bags so light
that they "float" and do not descend into contact with the rotor. In this case the material in
contact with the rotor is very hot but the average temperature inside the cell remains fairly
low. Normally, in these cases , before the end of the cycle the material above reaches the
rotor and the temperature rises very quickly. If this phenomenon occurs frequently, the lighter
packages must be loaded into the cell first, followed by the heavier ones
However, if these were not the cause , then the fact is due to:
• load of waste is too light
• moisture content of the waste is too high
• Remember that the machine is a solid waste sterilizer , so the weight of the material must
not be less than 10kg and the percentage of humidity should not exceed 40-45%
