Reference Guide for the Model RH340 Internet Access ISDN Router
Ordering ISDN Lines
B-3
If you want to use incoming call bumping, you must ask your phone company to enable Additional
Call Offering (ACO) for one or both of your ISDN channels (directory numbers). Incoming call
bumping allows the router to receive a voice call when both ISDN channels are in use for a data
call. One channel will be dropped to allow the incoming call, and the data rate will be reduced
during the call.
Provisioning for Nortel Networks Switch
The Nortel switch type supports two types of ISDN service, National ISDN-1 and custom.
Table B-2
lists the provisioning features and settings for National ISDN-1 services when using the
Nortel switch.
Note:
Some telephone companies may offer voice services only on the first directory
number.
