Configuring the Router Using FirstGear
ISDN Test
You can test your ISDN settings by clicking on the ISDN Test button in the Configuration Wizard
ISDN Test window (

).

During the ISDN Test, FirstGear sends the configuration information to the router and resets the
ISDN port. The D LED on the front panel of the router lights. FirstGear instructs the router to
place a loopback call, in which B channel 1 places a call to B channel 2. The two B channel LEDs
should power up together for a few seconds. If the call completes successfully, a message window
opens indicating that the test was successful and the Configuration Wizard ISP Test window
opens. If the call fails, FirstGear displays the error messages from the router.
