Advanced Configuration
This chapter provides information about using advanced features within the FirstGear Advanced
Options menu to configure your Model RH340 Internet Access ISDN Router. These instructions
assume you have already configured your router as instructed in
Chapter 4, “Configuring the
Router Using FirstGear
.”
Advanced Options include:
•
Manual entry of DNS address
•
Enabling 128 Kbps connections using Multilink
•
Changing the idle timeout for ISDN connections to the ISP
•
Selecting Data Over Voice Bearer Service for areas where ISDN data calls are billed at a
higher rate than voice calls
•
Specifying one local PC for NAT bypassing. This option enables the specified local PC to be
visible from the Internet for running local server applications or for compatibility with some
applications such as games or videoconferencing.
The Advanced Options menu is accessed by clicking the Advanced Options button in the
Configuration Wizard Complete window.
