Disconnect the keyboard, mouse, monitor, and any other device (such as a
printer) connected to the rear of the system.
Label all cables to make reinstallation easier.
CAUTION:
Electrostatic discharge can damage
computer components. Discharge static
electricity by touching a grounded metal object
before you remove the system unit cover.

Loosen the three thumb screws on the rear of the system unit (see Figure 3-1). If
you have installed a padlock on the back of the system, unlock the padlock and
remove it.

From the rear of the system, grasp the handle and pull it back so that the cover
clears the padlock slot (see Figure 3-2).
