9-46 Upgrading Your Server

IDE Device

Provide the proper setting for the device.

See the table below for the settings of the devices which can be installed in the device bay.

Remove the left side cover and the front mask as described earlier in this chapter.

Remove all the cables from the factory-installed optical disk drive and the devices
installed in the device bay.

Remove the factory-installed optical disk drive with the release tabs on the both sides of
the drive pushed.

Secure the device to be installed to the rail with two screws provided with the device.
