Chapter 2 Preparations
Removal

Remove a hard disk drive in the following procedure.
Important If you dispose of the removed hard disk drive, follow instructions described
in Chapter 1 (1. Transfer, Movement, and Disposal) in Safety Precautions and
Regulatory Notices.
Note
If you remove a failed hard disk drive, check the DISK LED lit in amber.

Hold the handle and tray firmly and pull

Fill the open slot with the dummy tray, if

Note
Do not pull the handle only. The handle may break.
Turn on the server, run the BIOS Setup Utility, and then specify the boot order from the
