Disassembly and Reassembly
Replacing a CD-ROM Drive or a Floppy Disk Drive
Perform the following steps to replace the floppy disk or CD-ROM drive installed in the flex
bay.
1.
See the section "Preparing for Installation and Removal" described earlier to prepare.
2.
Unlock the front bezel with the security key, and remove the front bezel.
3.
Extend the server out of the rack.
4.
Lift up the carrier handle at the bottom of the floppy disk drive.
5.
Hold the carrier handle, and pull it out straight to remove the CD-ROM/Floppy Disk
Drive assembly from the flex bay. Place the assembly on a clean flat anti-static surface.
