1. Installing Internal Optional Devices

Chapter 2 Preparations

10. Align the pin terminal of riser card of additional PCI riser kit on which RAID Controller is mounted with

the slot of LAN riser slot, and insert the riser card firmly. Form the SAS cable.

Important

•

Do not touch the terminal part of RAID Controller and motherboard. Installing

boards with dirt or oil can cause malfunction.

•

Applying excess force on RAID Controller may cause damage to RAID Controller

or motherboard.

Route the cable as shown in the figure below.

11. Secure the bracket of additional PCI riser card with three screws removed in Step 8.

12. Install the FBU (Flash Backup Unit) according to Steps 9 to 15 in (

1.9.5 (2) When using optional RAID

Remove the additional PCI riser kit and RAID Controller in reverse order of installation.
